Panum’s Winning Streak Continues in 2020 with New Contract Award from USDA
Bethesda, MD – January 30, 2020 – Panum Group, LLC (Panum) has been awarded a contract to support the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA), Marketing and Regulatory Programs (MRP) with Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) Administration Support.
Issued under GSA’s One Acquisition Solution for Integrated Services IDIQ, the contract work effort includes the preparation of FOIA-releasable products while ensuring that exempt information is protected in response to FOIA requests. Panum experts will analyze and review the laws, regulations and Agency procedures on FOIA and provide MRP with recommendations based on this review.
Panum will provide technical advice, assistance and training to MRP staff on FOIA-related matters to help our customer enhance operational and mission effectiveness and implement new ways to access, analyze and disseminate information across MRP. Additionally, Panum will advise the MRP on FOIA legislative requirements and make recommendations on policy implementation procedures governing the MRP’s FOIA management system.
Panum Vice President, Federal Civilian Mr. Syed Jaffery said, “Panum has significant experience providing FOIA Services and is currently supporting several USDA agencies with similar support.” The MRP is one of 24 federal agencies supported by Panum and has contributed to the company’s rapid growth in recent years.
Through its innovation lab, Panum is trying to bring machine learning based Natural Language processing technology into FOIA support by experimenting with the use of modern technologies in searching, redacting and responding to FOIA requests.
“We hope to demonstrate the use of these modern technologies to our customers for expedient FOIA response, cost savings and higher productivity in their mission support,” said Panum’s President Mr. Vijay Mishra.
